World Entertainment News Network

One of Hollywood's hottest conundrums has taken another turn - superstar couple SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR and FREDDIE PRINZE JR are reported to have married in Mexico.

The couple - who met on the set of hit movie SCOOBY-DOO, in which they both starred - have been the subject of fierce gossip over recent months, as the media desperately tries to keep track of their wedding plans.

After recent rumors they planned to wed in the Caribbean last month, Freddie's spokeperson insisted, "One hundred per cent on a stack of Bibles, it's not happening.

"I can tell you this. It'll be sometime this year"

But according to British tabloid the DAILY STAR, the pair have finally tied the knot in a lavish beach ceremony on the Pacific coast of Mexico, with no expense spared - they are reported to have splashed out $10,000 on a wedding cake.

Retire? Say It Ain't So, Rege

NY Post

REGIS Philbin now says he's been thinking of retiring.

"One in three people suffer from retirement anxiety . . . well, I do [and] I've been thinking about it," Philbin said to co-host Kelly Ripa during the host-chat segment of yesterday's "Live with Regis & Kelly."

Philbin, who turns 71 later this month, was talking about a new study that found widespread uncertainty among people about their retirement plans.

The remark about thinking about retiring took Ripa by surprise.

Was he serious? she asked.

"What am I gonna do, where am I gonna go at 9 o'clock in the morning?" Philbin replied.

"I ain't got no place to go."

Philbin's remarks came as he is re-negotiating the $20 million, three-and-a-half year deal he signed in 2000 at the height of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" mania.

That deal encompassed both "Millionaire" and "Live." Since then, "Millionaire" has been removed from ABC's schedule as a regularly scheduled program.

"Live" continues to go great guns in the ratings department.

As The Post reported exclusively this past Monday, Ripa confirmed yesterday that she won't re-sign as an everyday player on "All My Children" when her contact expires in December.

As The Post also said, Ripa hopes to return to the show from time to time.

"I just want to have the option of changing days around . . . working when it's convenient for me," Ripa said. "I'll still be there . . . I'm not leaving."

"No, but you're hanging on by a thread," Philbin shot back.

The Rock: 'I'm Gonna Keep Wrestling'

World Entertainment News Network He may be Hollywood's favorite new heavyweight, but THE ROCK has vowed he will return to the wrestling ring.

The former American footballer - real name DWAYNE JOHNSON - made his name in the WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION, now the WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT, INC, before winning roles in THE MUMMY RETURNS and this year's spin-off The Scorpion King.

According to movie industry sources, studio bosses want the 30-year-old to hang up his spandex pants and concentrate on a full-time acting career.

But The Rock insists the reports are untrue and remains convinced he can juggle careers in the studio and the wrestling ring - and plans to do just that for "as long as he possibly can".

He says, "We've never had an open discussion about me ever giving up wrestling. They know I have a passion for wrestling and I love what I do.

"And it's just a matter of finding a balance, and not only finding a balance but making the transition an easy transition - as easy as possible.

"So at no point, I can confirm that, did they ever tell me I had to quit wrestling."

Who sang, "So let's sink another drink 'cause it'll give me time to think."?
