Farber Technology - Sending warnings about THEIR OWN infected customers trying to send viruses to other people! Ignoring the requests to stop. f-tech.net, [65.161.2.0 - 65.161.3.255]: Access denied! === My request to stop the abuse === From: Admin Organization: Private person Subject: Bogus virus warnings from f-tech.net! [Fwd: Vexira ALERT [mail from: kid21 ]] Date: Thu, 13 Jan 2005 16:20:42 +0200 User-Agent: KMail/1.5 X-KMail-Link-Message: 1745845 X-KMail-Link-Type: forward To: farber@admin.f-tech.net, abuse-Jan@2004.dolphinwave.org X-Complaints-To: abuse[@]dolphinwave[.]org (live person) X-PGP-key: 0xAAE2A579 X-PGP-key-fingerprint: 5B8E 3B28 7199 8CD3 4133 FA87 000B 0FB6 AAE2 A579 X-No-Confirm: Yes MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Message-Id: <200501131620.42246@2004.dolphinwave.org> Status: RO X-Status: S X-KMail-EncryptionState: X-KMail-SignatureState: Please, STOP forwarding me your bogus virus warnings! There is no reason to tell the rest of the world that you've stopped your infected customer's machine to send them a virus! It is known for several years that the last viruses forge e-mail addresses of unrelated third parties in their From: / ReturnPath: headers, so telling me that some "kid21@hotmail.com" or "skiefer02@hotmail.com" has tried to send me a virus is absolutely useless - they didn't do it, the virus forge their addresses in the e-mail envelope! Of course, if you want your servers to be blocked everywhere for sending such junk, then sure keep sending those. The next time I see such a "warning" coming from f-tech.net, I will just block the whole 65.161.2.0/15 IP range of Farber Technology, and be done with it. ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Received: from mail.f-tech.net (mail.f-tech.net [65.161.2.16]) by mail.dolphinwave.org (8.12.11/8.12.11) with SMTP id j0C9SAhf017749 for ; Wed, 12 Jan 2005 11:28:14 +0200 Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2005 11:28:10 +0200 Message-Id: <200501120928.j0C9SAhf017749@mail.dolphinwave.org> Received: (qmail 30854 invoked from network); 12 Jan 2005 09:27:56 -0000 Received: from unknown (HELO mailer) (127.0.0.1) by mail.f-tech.net with SMTP; 12 Jan 2005 09:27:56 -0000 To: webmaster@dolphinwave.org From: Farber-Technology-AntiVirus@mail.f-tech.net References: <200501120925.j0C9PhtJ022861@mail.f-tech.net> Subject: Vexira ALERT [mail from: skiefer02 ] X-AntiVirus: checked by AntiVir Milter 1.0.6; AVE 6.29.0.5; VDF 6.29.0.57 X-Loop: dev.null@dolphinwave.org Status: R X-Status: N X-KMail-EncryptionState: X-KMail-SignatureState: Content-Type: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Vexira ALERT * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * This version of Vexira MailArmor is licensed and full featured.
